Perth resident Heidi Andrews was this year crowned both Miss Global Australia and Miss Global International 2015 and is fast carving a path in becoming one of Australia’s most loved pageant role models. Heidi juggles charity work and event commitments with her modelling and is working toward a career in health and fitness and mentoring young women.

In the last 24 months, Heidi has acted as an ambassador for several Australian and International charities, volunteered hundreds of hours for her local community and raised over $40,000 for numerous not-for-profit organisations. Heidi says pageantry is what has granted her the opportunity to realise her philanthropic dreams. Currently a Make-A-Wish Australia Ambassador, and in training to become a ‘Wish-Granter’ with the foundation, Heidi is extremely honoured and more determined than ever to utilise the Miss Global Australia and Miss Global International title to continue this passion, making a difference in the community and inspiring our youth to do the same.

Aside from Pageantry, Heidi’s determination to make a difference in the lives of others gained a whole new level of momentum 24 months ago when her long-time partner, Ty Colman was diagnosed with cancer.  Ty was rushed into surgery and started chemotherapy immediately, with Heidi by his side every step of the way. The silver lining was encountering the gracious staff and volunteers giving up their Christmas and New Year’s Eve to treat an entire ward full of cancer patients. This was their life; to give, nurture and always remain selfless and it was this act of humanity that Heidi wanted to be a part of as such organised her most successful and biggest fundraiser alongside Pageant sponsor CDL Boxing Promotions; ‘Fighting for Kira’ in September of 2014 raising over $35,000 alongside members of the Perth business community.

Heidi is extremely dedicated to her fitness and nutrition, currently undergoing studies in the field with a particular interest in health coaching. Working out of her family business, Competitive Boxing and Fitness, Heidi this year launched her own program in the industry which helps educate young women on the importance of nutrition and staying active, and has also launched her own line of sportswear soon to be released.
